What’s the difference between 2/3/4 flutes of solid carbide endmills?
- 2 cutting edge chip is discharged smoothly, the longitudinal feed processing is easy, and the rigidity is low. It is widely used for grooving, side processing and hole processing.
- 3 cutting edge chip is discharged smoothly, the longitudinal feed processing is easy, and the outer diameter measurement is difficult. It is used for groove, side processing, re milling and finishing.
- 4 cutting edge is rigid and the chip discharge is not smooth. It is used for shallow groove, side machining and finishing.
