Carbide Threading Inserts

Thread inserts are currently widely used in molds, oil and gas industries. The tools offered here covers a wide range of thread profiles and pitches for all common thread types.

Description

There are mainly three different insert types when threading a workpiece: full profile, V-profile, and multi-point inserts. The full profile is a common insert type, and it is for cutting a complete thread profile.

V-profile has an advantage: the same insert can be used for each pitch as long as the thread profile angle (60° or 55°) and radius are the same. The multi-point inserts are a high-productivity insert type. It requires fewer tool passes, resulting in longer tool life, higher productivity and lower tool costs.
